Good morning from sunny Japan.
The writing and posting have been slacking a bit over the last few days. I’ve had a nasty cold, and although I haven’t been very ill, my mood for writing/posting/making vids just wasn’t there. But posting or not posting doesn’t really matter. Apart from one soul (you know who you are ;) ), I don’t think anyone reads this. I guess by “anyone,” I mean people I know from back home. Family, “friends,” mates—none of them engaging or offering encouragement, as is typical for the lot I hail from.
To the occasional reader who stumbles upon my scribblings—your time is kindly appreciated.
Anyway, today I’m feeling a wee bit better, and the sun is out shining bright. So I decided to take a train to Tōkyō for the weekend and do some shopping.
Although I enjoy the solitude of living in a remote, quiet spot here, I sometimes go days or even weeks without having a conversation with anyone. Unfortunately, Japanese isn’t the easiest language to just catch up on, and the few words and sentences I know don’t make for proper conversation, of course.
But I’m getting better at reading and writing Hiragana. Only two sets of the Japanese writing system remain: Katakana and Kanji… a long way to go still.
Well, I’d better start getting ready—I’ve got a train to catch.
Have a fine day/evening/night,
TIN 🙏
