I’ve spent much of my life on the move — wandering, observing, and collecting stories. Travel for me is less about destinations and more about the questions that rise up along the way: the people I meet, the rituals I watch, the contradictions I can’t ignore.

For reasons I can’t fully explain, I waited far too long to begin sharing. My travels began more than three decades ago, but only now — perhaps a sign of my generation arriving late to the social media train — have I started to set them down. Better late than never, I suppose, though I sometimes wonder what these stories might have looked like had I written them in real time.

This blog is a record of those fragments — adventures, photos, and reflections that may one day become a book. For now it’s where I lay down what I notice, unvarnished and unsentimental, as I prepare for another stretch in Japan...
