In the meanwhile - nearly a month has gone by since my first post. Here, in west Europe - autumn has truly set in. Rainy, foggy days that wash away those last memories of summer.
And although I’m bound to set to the other side of the world rather soon - the weather conditions will be rather similar.
I’ll be residing about 120kms from Tokyo. Not at the sunny beaches in Okinawa.
As I decided to start sharing my little adventure(s) and build a blog and vlog around it - I realised that there was probably quite some work that had to be done and some things to be learned.
Over the last decade I’ve been only active on the net regarding my music. And tried to avoid social media as much as possible.
But with this venture I guess I’ll better make use of it all.
So, over the last few weeks I indulged myself into finding out a tad more about whatever it was I needed to know in order to get this thing on the road.
Gear-wise, I also needed a bit of an upgrade. And being on a (tight) budget I had to find something affordable.
I opted for an iPhone13 (refurbished), Røde Wireless Micro set, Ulanzi MT-16 Vlog stand, Ulanzi VL49 Led Video light - all for under $500. Bargain.
Now it’s just up to me to see if I can actually produce something interesting and worthwhile with it. :)
Music-wise; I decided to produce my own sounds/tunes/music/soundscapes/fx/etc. for the use in my videos. Or as much as possible - as I write it down here, it makes me realise that it’s quite an extra chunk on top of it - I don’t want to underestimate the work that goes into creating video content.
We’ll see how it goes but at this moment I’m pretty chuffed about it all.
So, please - bear with me - while I’m setting up, tweaking and preparing to start my trip in 2 weeks from now. I’ll sure keep you posted.
Thanks for stopping by.
Luv&peace
